Our very own Kara Holthaus, a member of the SmarterHQ team for over four years, has been promoted to Vice President of Client Services. Previously serving as Director of Client Success, she’s eager to take on the responsibilities of her new role.
“Our team has done an incredible job at taking care of our clients and ensuring they are set up for success from the start,” says Kara. “I’m excited to grow our internal team and our client base as a whole. I know we can continue to be the best services team in the business.”
Kara demonstrates passion for our clients through her hard work and commitment to giving our customers as much value out of the platform as possible.
During her time at SmarterHQ, Kara has grown her team of two to eight, and is focused on mentoring and inspiring her team to continue learning and collaborating. With their help, Kara will work to increase retention rates while working closely with the sales team to expand revenue within accounts.
A Butler grad with nine years of experience in the eCommerce industry, Kara was a Mira Tech 25 Award Winner in 2015 and currently serves as a member of the Butler University Young Alumni Board.

“I worked as a waitress at a favorite local pizza place in college.”
What has been your favorite moment working at SmarterHQ?
“This is a difficult one. I’d have to say gathering the success stories and client metrics for the Forrester TEI was pretty special. That third-party validation really meant a lot to us.”
